Celebrating 60 years of advocacy and leadership for early childhood education in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our History

In 1963, a group of dedicated women in childcare united to become force for better quality early childhood education and care for all young tamariki in Aotearoa New Zealand.

For 60 years, this organisation and its members have been driving positive change, challenging attitudes, educating and growing teachers and leaders, and improving knowledge and practice in bicultural early childhood education.
