We are now seeking two experienced administrators who are commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Reporting to the Student and Administration Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing effective student and administration services that support both staff and students at Te Rito Maioha which will include:
  • Responding to programme application and enrolment enquiries from current and prospective students in a friendly and timely manner (via phone and email)
  • Processing student applications and ensuring all required documentation are provided
  • Organising student selection interviews and police vetting process
  • Collating and preparing documentation for the interview selection panels
  • Advising students/applicants of the outcome of the selection process
  • Maintaining student records and ensuring the student management system (database) is up-to-date and accurate
  • Answering student queries related to student fees, student loans, and payments
  • Liaising with teaching staff and other national office teams
  • Other general administrative tasks as required such as preparing class lists, processing grades, arranging travel and accommodation, venue and catering, etc
You will be meticulous, able to see a process through to completion and have incredibly strong attention to detail. You’re a quick learner and have the desire to develop skills to improve efficiencies. Your ability to communicate effectively and build rapport and connection with students to get most of them will be the true measure of how successful you will be in this role.

There are opportunities within the Student and Administration Services (SAS) team for someone with proven education experience to operate at the advisory level.

This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based on Thorndon Quay, close to public transport (bus and train) and amenities.

Person Profile:
  • Previous administration, customer service or member support experience
  • Experience in a customer/client centric environment
  • Experience working in an education or tertiary environment in an administrative capacity would be advantageous
  • Process driven, meticulous with good attention to detail
  • Ability to build rapport with a wide range of people at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in both written and verbal form
  • Organised with good prioritisation and time management skills
  • Ability to learn and pick up new concepts, processes and systems easily
  • A motivated self-starter who works well autonomously and as part of a team
  • Have a friendly, positive, warm and helpful disposition
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information and remain impartial and professional at all times
  • Confident with technology, computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, Zoom/Teams and databases (i.e Salesforce)
  • An understanding of, and commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
