Closing date for applications for study in 2019 extended to 15 December 2018

Like us, the government is keen to see more qualified early childhood teachers.  That’s why we’ve extended the closing date for applications for study next year to 15 December 2018.

If you are interested in increasing your knowledge, skills and attractiveness to employers, we are sure we have a programme that will fit your needs.  Don’t delay, apply before 15 December 2018 by visiting www.ecnz.ac.nz

In addition to our usual programmes, like the popular Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), we have two new specialist Diplomas in Early Childhood Education on offer in 2019: one Pasifika and the other, Aperfield Montessori.  Both programmes can be studied full or part time.

The Pasifika programme delivers an introduction to Pasifika ways of learning.  Students will gain a better understanding of Pasifika cultures, and will be able to respond appropriately to Pasifika children and families in the ECE environment.

The Aperfield Montessori programme has been designed for a range of students, including qualified early childhood and primary teachers, unqualified teachers, parents, carers, psychologists and other interested professionals wanting to train in the Aperfield Montessori Method.

As an added bonus, Aperfield Montessori is offering several scholarships valued at up to $3,000.  Again, to apply, visit our website.

Both the new diplomas can give graduates a head start with our Bachelor of Teaching (ECE), reducing the duration of the degree by a full semester.  On the other hand, if you are already qualified, you might be able to reduce the number of papers required to complete the diplomas.
