Exploring Responsive Teaching

Explore and develop responsive teaching techniques to engage with tamariki and their whānau.

This professional development will explore the notion of responsive relationships and what it means for kaiako to be mutually engaged with tāmariki and their whānau.

A sociocultural framework will support the notion of responsive and mutually engaged teaching and learning.

Practice-based research incorporating ‘teachers-as researcher’ will be used to further enhance kaiako practice with tamariki and whānau.
