Facilitator:  Rachel Taylor, Lecturer | Kaiako, Te Rito Maioha ECNZ

Rachel has 18 years of experience as an early childhood teacher out of which she has spent ten years working with infants and toddlers. It was this passion that led her to completing her Masters Thesis at the end of 2023. The topic was ‘the effects of COVID-19 on parents’ perceptions/experiences of their tamariki starting ECE in Aotearoa New Zealand during COVID-19 in 2022. From that research emerged the importance of transitions for infants and toddlers, particularly from home to the ECE setting.
