The Māori language is a national treasure. In Aotearoa we have the privilege of being the only country in the world to speak te reo Māori. A resurgence in the use of te reo in early childhood centres and schools across New Zealand is the result of the good work of leaders in those work places who have chosen to restore Māori language and tradition in their environment. You also have that choice.

Te Tari Matua | National Office He Pātaka Reo is foundational to your role in an office environment. It provides you with the basics you need to start your journey of using te reo every day.

During the course you will need to record yourself speaking the new kupu | words and rerenga kōrero | phrases you learn. Hopefully by speaking these new words and phrases they will become a part of your vocabulary.
