Role

As Kaiako/lecturer, Lauren is responsible for supporting tauira to study and gain qualifications in a range of Early Childhood programmes offered at Te Rito Maioha. She is committed to providing tailored support to postgraduate students in the leadership space, and facilitating their advanced studies. 

Education background

Lauren brings over 15 years of dedicated involvement in the field of early childhood education, she has progressed through various roles and engaged in study that has shaped her perspectives. Working alongside inspiring wāhine has been a highlight for her career.  

Research background

Lauren's research interests are based around emphasizing the intersection of educational futurism, equity, and innovation in shaping the future of education.

Teaching interests

Lauren is deeply committed to advancing equity in education, ensuring that all individuals, regardless of background, have equal access to quality learning opportunities. Her personal commitment to ongoing learning is evident in her concurrent studies, a pursuit that has not only expanded her knowledge base but also enhanced my ability to champion equity in my current role
