This PLD is aimed at teachers in Early Childhood services that have tauira in their centres on their practicum experiences. It is also aimed at teachers who aspire to be associate teachers or are wanting a leadership role.

This PLD will introduce participants to the following:

Conceptualising leadership as influence with purpose.
The four principles of leadership: mentoring; relationships; communication; and passion (Woolston’s research).
The elements of effective mentoring in the AT (LT and mentoring) roles.
