- support kaiako to understand the connection between the developing brain and behaviour
- Discuss the value of the teaching team having a shared understanding of young children’s social and emotional needs
- Highlight the importance of a team approach when planning for intentional teaching pedagogy for social and emotional development and learning

Andrea Driver, Regional Education Leader | Kaiārahi Matauranga ā Rohe, Te Rito Maioha
Andrea is the Regional Education Leader of the Heretaunga takiwā of Te Rito Maioha. Andrea has been part of the Hawkes Bay education and social service community for more than 25 years, having taught across both primary and early childhood education settings. Andrea brings recent experience as a specialist early intervention teacher and learning support service manager within Te Mahau, Ministry of Education. Andrea has a Postgraduate Diploma Specialist Teaching – Early Intervention and is currently working towards a Masters of Professional Practice – Leadership
